ACTIVITIES
MTL has started production at a modern Plant at Wada,
District Thane, Maharashtra, which is about 90 kilometers from
Mumbai. MTL is presently manufacturing a wide range of 2-3-4
wheelers tyres and tubes. Its present range consists of following

PRODUCTION FACILITIES / MATERIALS
At its Plant in Wada, MTL
uses machines procured from National / International reputed
manufacturers. Its major machines include 3A/3D Banbury Mixer, 60"
Mills, Tread Extruder, 48"/4 Roll Calendar, Bias Cutter, Bead
Winding Machine, Tyre Building Machine, Tyre Presses, Tube Extruder,
Tube Splicer and Tube Presses.
The Plant is capable of
manufacturing a wide variety of sizes of tyres and tubes for 2/3
wheelers, passenger cars, vans, jeeps, light commercial vehicles,
tractor front etc.
The best quality raw materials are used
including imported butyl rubber for tubes.
QUALITY STANDARDS
MTL has set up a QC procedure at each step in the
manufacturing process, so customers are assured of the highest
Indian and International Quality Standards. Sophisticated Testing
Equipment like plunger testing and endurance testing that only the
big companies use, and modern facilities for testing raw materials
and process have been installed. MTL is now ISO 9001 Version 2000
compliant and is in a position to manufacture tyres and tubes to BS,
JS, and other international standards. List of Testing Equipment is
enclosed.
FUTURE PLANS
MTL plans to increase its capacity to 4.0 million
tyres and tubes/annum within next 12 - 18 months.
